Ultralanding begins...
This truck represents the first application of our "Ultralanding" concept, where we focus adding camping functionality and organization to vehicles designed to perform at a high level. Follow along as we evolve this concept with this truck and other vehicles to come.
We will be further developing this concept on a new site we will launch on the UltraLanding.com domain (not live yet).
The Rundown
When Ford dropped the new U.S.-spec Ranger Raptor, we knew immediately it was more than just a midsize truck with a pretty face. This thing is a trail-ready animal - straight out of the factory.
Let’s run through the highlights real quick:
- 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque from the twin-turbo V6
- Factory front and rear lockers
- FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve internal bypass shocks
- Watts-link rear suspension for confident cornering and trail stability
- Trail Control, multiple drive modes, and Baja-blasting capability baked right in
In short: it’s got the bite to match the bark.
But here's where it gets interesting. At American Adventure Lab, we don't just drive these vehicles — we turn them into testbeds for innovation. Our Ranger Raptor is already deep into development as the launchpad for a full product ecosystem built specifically for this platform.
We’re talking:
- Bed MOLLE panels
- RAIL System integration
- Recovery and utility mounts
- Electrical accessories
- Interior upgrades for overlanding efficiency ...and that’s just scratching the surface.
This Ranger Raptor is purpose-built to test our designs in real-world conditions — from high-speed desert runs to tight technical crawls. If it holds up here, it holds up anywhere.
